CEOSISTER.NET...EMPOWERING GLOBAL WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS

Although women make up approximately 50% of the U.S. labor force we are still not being recognized for our contributions.  As a result, many women have started their own businesses not only out of choice but now more than ever out of need.

The current economic downturn has necessitated the pursuit of alternatives to a corporate position and many women are leaving corporate jobs either out of choice or through layoffs.  Additionally recent grads are finding it almost impossible to secure positions in their field or positions that have compensation relevant to their expertise. At Ceosister.net we recognize that you may be just starting out or maybe even starting over and having an additional support system may help make the difference between success or failure. 

Ceosister.net is a vehicle to extend a helping hand to our sisters worldwide however I would ask that each of us extend a hand of assistance and support.  The adage "It takes a village" is more important now than ever.  Please take the time to reach out to our sisters and share whatever knowledge, resources and information. Do not underestimate the power and influence you may have on someone who just might need a word of encouragement or just to know that they are not alone.  We welcome all as members and hope that each of us will help encourage and empower someone else to reach the next level.

We have been on this journey for quite a while and want to share our Congressional testimony from June 2000 before the Committee on Small Business. There is still work to be done!
